Xero & Omono Integration

I was recently approached by a company who needed help setting up a new accounting and order management system. A deadline was set to have the systems up and running by the end of the month in order to send  invoices for work completed.

Xero was chosen as the accounting package due to its comprehensive feature set at an affordable cost. However, the order management workflow within Xero did not suit the business needs fully. An alternative was found in Omono.

Omono is a cloud-based order management system that is designed to synchronize directly with Xero. As well as adding additional features to the sales order workflow, Omono provides a simple user interface making it possible for any member of staff within an organisation to benefit from it’s features.

I worked closely with the business owner and with Omono support to ensure the setup was as seamless as possible.

The software integration was simple. The challenges came with deciding how to generate product codes for the diverse range of products produced by the company. After much deliberation a numbering scheme was decided upon and the system could be populated.
